Sarah Lopez is my sweet 2-year-old cousin, and right now, she’s fighting a battle that no child should ever have to face. After coming down with the flu, Sarah developed Tranverse myelitis , a rare and serious condition that has left her on a breathing tube and receiving plasma exchange treatments in the hospital. Her parents, who are caring for six children, are unable to work during this time, making things even more difficult for the whole family. It’s heartbreaking to see Sarah in this condition, and it hurts even more to watch my aunt and the rest of my cousins struggle alongside her.
The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward helping Sarah’s family with the many challenges they’re facing. Your support will help cover the costs of caring for Sarah’s siblings, as well as provide much-needed relief for her parents as they focus on being by her side. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference for this loving family as they navigate an incredibly tough journey.
It’s important to help families in need, and I want to thank everyone who donates from the bottom of my heart. Your kindness means so much to my family and me. If you or someone you know is going through something similar, please remember that we have a powerful God who can heal and restore. Those who trust in Him will have the victory. Thank you for your prayers, your support, and for standing with Sarah and our family during this time.
(UPDATE)
sarah Lopez currently has to go to inpatient rehab.
Baby Sarah still is having trouble walking and getting up on her own. Thanks to God she’s no longer in the PICU.
